Our son has been attending Bright Horizons American City since he was 3 months old in May 2020. To say our experience has been amazing is an understatement. They have handled the COVID crisis in the best manner possible, adhering to all Dallas City mandates and CDC guidelines. Beyond the COVID details, we absolutely love all the staff members, from the front office men and women to our sons teachers in his class room- I can’t say enough great things about all of them. We have never had any conflicts or disagreements, they have always treated us with love and respect- no matter how crazy their day or week has been. BHMC has been such a blessing to our family. And though it is definitely not their job, the teachers help me (as a first time mom) understand where he needs to be (ie, using sippy cups, transition from sleep sack, weaning bottle, dropping to one nap etc...) I’m so grateful for this wonderfully team!

Great daycare. My sons started attending earlier this year right before COVID-19. The facility is well maintained and the staff are friendly. They also do a great job with keeping me informed about my sons activities throughout the day via their app. I also appreciate that they have the option for extended days for a reasonable fee.

I do not recommend Bright Horizon’s child care programs. My child was enrolled in the infant and toddler programs. The review is based on my experience in the infant room only, with Teachers Shaunette and Aricely. On one occasion, I witnessed Aricely using profanity and extremely foul language in front of the children, while talking to adults. When she saw me, she stopped. No apologies or explanation offered. It is completely inappropriate, unprofessional and borderline abusive to speak that way in front of anyone, especially young children. Also, information recorded in the app is questionable. Many times someone noted in the app that my child was asleep or drank a bottle. However, I would arrive unannounced quite frequently to check on my child and find all bottles unused or awake and not sleep. On one occasion, my child was not fed any lunch. When I called to inquire I was told the lunch option didn’t align with his dietary restrictions and I did not select an alternative meal. When I went to the school and showed written proof that I informed his teachers of an alternative meal, Aricely admitted to the oversight that resulted in my child not being fed. No apologies either. On one occasion I arrived to find my child’s nose injured with skin completely removed from the tip. The teachers claimed they have no idea how the injury occurred. I caution any parent against enrolling your child in the infant program. Especially the room supervised by Shaunette and Aricely.

My six-month-old daughter has been attending daycare here for two months now, and I'd recommend this place to my friends in a heartbeat. She smiles and squeals with joy when she walks in and sees the staff and her teacher, Ms. Jackie V. This place is meticulous about documentation and doing everything by the book, which I ultimately appreciate because they value accountability. The infant room is always immaculately clean. They require you cover your shoes or take them off and to sanitize your hands before entering the room. I always know when my daughter is napping, being fed and getting her diaper changed through the app. I receive a cute photo of her almost every day. When I brought her here from another daycare at four months, we hadn't established any kind of routine, and she would resist her naps in cribs. Over the past two months, Ms. Jackie and her other teachers (Jackie M, Erica, Sonja, Anne, to name a few) have put her on a routine that she also follows at home. She is safe and happy here. We pay an arm and a leg for her to go here, but you get what you pay for.
