The worst dining experience I’ve had in my 32 years!!!!! I visited this location for my friends 34th birthday on 3/14/20. We waited 1hour after being told there was a 45 minute wait. Once we were finally seated they asked us what drinks and if we were celebrating anything special, we let them know we were there for her birthday. Once the Chef came out he didn’t greet us or even look at the people at our table. He just cooked the food and left. About half way through dinner I mentioned that our chef must not be having a good day or something because it was very awkward. I’ve never had this happen at a Japanese steak house. All of the other tables were interacting with their chef and having a good time but our chef just cooked and left. There was no birthday song or desert for her like the other tables or any kind of interaction, the menu even stated there would be a birthday desert but our table was completely full and didn’t get to celebrate m. Everyone at the table at the end of dinner felt that it was weird and one lady said she visited a week prior and the same chef was there but he wasn’t acting like he was on 3/14. Once our checks came we asked the waiter why didn’t we get the birthday celebration or desert and she said that some chefs just don’t do it. I thought that was odd. The Chef came out and “said I was going to do it but you all were taking pictures on your phone so I just cooked the food.” I couldn’t believe my ears!!! I felt so bad for my friend because it was to Kate to go anywhere else for dinner celebration and she really looked forward to this as we came from all the out of town in Indiana to enjoy her birthday. I paid and went outside and almost cried I was so upset at how they treated us.

I love it! Nice place for dinner . I understand why they are closed and I am glad that they care about their associates safety but I miss them and wish they could open at least for take out :(

Unfortunately, this place has succumbed to profit margins vs food quality. Such a shame. For decades a family favorite. No more
