Farmers Insurance - Robert Burg

Robert Burg is a great agent. He has been in the insurance business for over 30 years and his experience shows through his knowledge of the industry. He offers home, auto, commercial, and life insurance. All of his staff are licensed insurance agents also so they are very knowledgeable when it comes to any and all of your insurance needs. Robert has helped insure my family for over 20 years and we have nothing but good things to say about him and his agency. They are very helpful when it comes to giving advise on filing claims.

I've been un-employed for some time and have existing coverage which is expensive and that's why I'm shopping for new coverage. My experience with Robert Burg started out good. He was pleasant to speak with but shortly into our meeting I came to the realization that he's a salesman. His concerns about my properties and neighbors that might use my facilities (and might sue me if injured) became irritating and the meeting went on longer than I felt necessary. After the details were given as to what I was looking for, and hearing why the policies were going to be costly (Trampoline & Pool), I knew one of the other agencies I'd spoken with before his was going to receive my business (all aware of my facilities). He's clearly interested in charging a premium for coverage that's available at lower rates, as I know from shopping, and not interested in looking out for my financial needs. Two days after our meeting, Robert contacted me with his quote and after speaking for a short time, he asked me if any other quotes were coming in and how they compared to his quote. I responded with a yes and they were cheaper than his offer. He then asked for the names of the other agencies that have better rates which was none of his business, and I declined to disclose the agencies for fear of him sabotaging my efforts by contacting them following his behavior. He then refused to submit over email the quote he worked up and the time I spent at his office was wasted. There's no option to give zero stars which is what I would give this experience and since there are so many other agencies, it's my recommendation to shop around even though it's tedious and time consuming. I'm sure you won't regret the savings.
