Pet Connection Super Store

The owner bought some of my gerbils to resell. When I came by a week later to see how they were doing, I was appalled at the filthy conditions that the animals were being kept in. The rat enclosures were the worst with dead pregnant rats just lying there out in the open. My gerbils had lost weight and didn't have ANY bedding or proper food. I tried to take them back, but the owner would not give them to me unless I bought them back from him for WAY more than he paid me for them. DO NOT EVER COME HERE. Go to the ZOOKEEPER EXOTIC pet store in Austin instead, they are amazing and will treat you wonderfully!

I seriously LOVE this place, I've been coming here for over 10 years. Its so close to my house and the people there are great! Its the perfect stop to pick up supplies for my reptiles and puppy. Their prices are so much better than Petsmart and Petco and they take way better care of their animals.

Stay away from this place. I went in the store because i have never noticed it here before. The owner and his wife could care less that there were customers in their store. Never greeted or even talked to me. I had to ask a young boy whom I guess was the owners son (13 years old). The questions I asked the owner were cut off fast and he was more interested in talking to the other owner about lawn mowers instead of assisting me. I own a business and I understand the importance of a customer. Get with it man you do realize we pay your bills, and determine if you stay open and last. The animals there were of a variety, and the only healthy animals i saw were the fish. Not very clean and had a strong odor, like cleaning their cages were not on their agenda either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! and please dont support the bad stores and support more of the great ones like Zookeeper Exotics, my favorite....and customer service there exceeds anywhere else in the area.

I just love going here! Mike and Larry know what they are talking about....The are so friendly and personable; their prices are cheaper and or comparable to Petco. If they don't have what you are looking for they will absolutely order it for you or steer you in the right direction. Support Small Owner operations in your community!
