I kindly request that a corporate representative call us about our experience with the Austin, TX office. Thank you. ***Update-the pool project was finally completed-June to November 2023. We started the sales process in April. The salesman was really terrible. The project manager, Joshua T was very easy to work with. And Alisha O in scheduling and accounting kept the job moving as well. Thank you to Lesley Sgori for reaching out from the corporate offices. Ive saved the details of complaints for the end of project survey. We have not been able to enjoy the pool, yet. Thanks again.

We're now up to three years, and Anthony & Sylvan has STILL not completed our pool. When we finally let them plaster and fill it with water, we discovered that most of the plumbing wasn't correct. The pool filler leaks and can't be used, the pool cleaner doesn't work, the spa jets don't work, and the booster pump for the spa water feature isn't even connected to the spa! It is now two years since we closed on our construction loan and well over that since we signed with Anthony & Sylvan to build our pool as a part of our house. We've been moved into the house for six months now and A&S still isn't done! In the past three months, the extent of their effort has been that electricians have been out a couple of times for an hour or two each time and still aren't finished wiring everything. Plumbers screwed up and have never been back. Their corporate customer care (Lesley) has been unable to make any progress with the Texas team. This is now the second wedding anniversary A&S has ruined, as well as the second Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years where they should have been done, not to mention the last year of holidays where we should have been using our pool! These people need to understand that their actions, or rather inaction, affects peoples LIVES! Beyond the stress and aggravation, they've cost us tens of thousands of dollars in bank fees and interest on the construction loan that we can't convert to a mortgage until they're done, not to mention the dumpster, porta potty, etc. we're also still paying for! This has been a complete nightmare that won't ever end! ------ Well, apparently Google won't post my negative review with the picture showing the lack of progress over the past two years. Another four months have passed since I originally posted this (enough time for a reputable builder to have done this start to finish) and they're still not much closer to completion. They still won't commit to when they'll have it completed. Oh, and Hi Lesley. You already know who this is as we've been corresponding since August when I originally posted this. I called you again yesterday and you haven't returned my call either. Based on all the positive reviews, we started our pool project with Anthony & Sylvan over two years ago now, and started construction on our new custom house with pool in January 2021. It's over a year and a half later and while we've completed a 5500 SF custom home in that time, despite COVID, with A&S we've been through four project managers and are still nowhere near completion of the pool construction. They are now costing us many thousands of dollars a month in interest and penalties on our construction loan and we are in danger of default with the bank, but there's no end in sight with A&S. The original forms were up so long (over nine months!) that they had to tear them out and completely replace them before they could gunite. They have constantly made major mistakes throughout the process and have now had to break out a big section of the pool and start over, cracking our house foundation in the process! Now we're basically back to the state we were over a year ago (see picture) and have no indication of when they'll be done. Even after the Director of Operations took over the project management to finish the job, they continue to make stupid mistakes and keep having to rework the little bit they've redone. None of their management (including the previous president and regional vice president, both of whom removed their Linked In accounts after I tried contacting them) will respond to me or the BBB. I have talked to others in the area who've had the same sort of issues, although none as bad as mine. Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews. These aren't the people you want building your pool. Service: Inground pool installation

We were very happy with the entire pool building process, from the initial meeting and design to each trade along the way! Our sales rep/designer, Sindo, listened to our wants/needs and was awesome in making design changes as we worked through the process. Our project manager, Matt, was always responsive to our questions and quickly resolved any issues that were discovered. During 'pool school', Andrew was very informative, patient and helpful. Once completed, we did have an equipment failure, but Maggie & Paul, from the warranty department, resolved the issue right away. We are overall very happy with our pool installation. 1 Year Update: Unfortunately, we're now forced to change our review from 5 stars to 2 over their warranty process. Originally they were very responsive to service requests, however after the Texas freeze of 2021, the warranty service has failed to complete the work we submitted. We had an issue we submitted in June 2021, multiple calls, emails and 2 visits from them still did not resolve the matter. In March 2022, we purchased the parts and completed the work ourselves. As of today, (04/25/2022), we still have some warranty requests that have yet to be addressed. We even attempted to escalate the situation to the General Manager and have yet to receive a response. Summary - they built a great pool, but their warranty support is extremely lacking. 2-3 Year Update: Corporate contacted us shortly after we wrote our 1-year update to discuss why we wrote what we did. They got the Austin warranty manger involved who worked with us regarding our issues. It took a little longer than we had hoped and while did experience some slight resistance, they eventually were able to resolve our issues. Summary - we still believe A&S builds a great pool, however their warranty support could be improved. Services: General construction, Design, General repairs & maintenance

I would give less than 1 star if it was possible. I cannot recommend AGAINST Anthony & Sylvan enough. They installed a pool in our backyard two years ago and we have had nothing but issues from the beginning. During the construction process, they built the spa incorrectly, and water was spilling out onto the patio and ground for weeks until they had to take apart the top and rebuild it. After they finished building it we have had multiple things break and had to have technicians come out to fix things. We currently have yet another thing broken and who knows when/if that will get fixed. During the construction process we had two project managers. The second, Josh, was great. He was helpful, and even though he was new to the business he tried his best to communicate and help get things fixed and back on track. But the first PM was absolutely awful. He was lazy, didn't seem to know what he was talking about (or just didn't care enough to properly explain anything), and there were many mistakes made during the process while he was overseeing. He ended up quitting the company midway through the process, which I was honestly very happy about, because he was awful. A&S will sell you on good prices and shorter timelines than other pool companies, but don't take the bait. The contract out every single part of the project to third party companies who do not care in the slightest about the quality of their work and are just in and out to collect a paycheck. If I had to go back and do it again I would 1000% rather pay a bit more money, and have the construction process take longer, to go with a better company that will do a better job. UPDATE: someone named Leslie from A&S called me, Im assuming in response to this post, I missed it so called her back and she never returned my call. That was about a week ago. And control it off - our freaking pool equipment has sprung a leak for the second straight year. We had someone come out to fix the issue of our pool lights working and it worked. For two days. And then the water fountains/waterfalls stopped working. And now this stupid leak. Again. Its unreal. The workmanship from this company is complete garbage. I dont understand how a company this bad is still even in business. I have been so much more irritated by this pool than Ive actually enjoyed it and its entirely bc A&S is incredibly incompetent. I might as well have thrown my money in a giant fire pit and set it on fire. Because Im sure as hell not getting my moneys worth from this thing.

I wish I could give this company less than 1 star. I cannot recommend AGAINST A&S enough.. They installed a pool in our backyard a couple of years ago and we have had nothing but issues from the get-go. During the construction process, they built the spa (hot tub) incorrectly and water was spilling out onto the patio and ground for weeks, causing flooding in our yard. They had to take apart the top and rebuild it, never telling us when they'd come and fix it. They just randomly sent someone on a Saturday (without telling us) the day we were having a pool party, so we had to tell the guy to come back another day. After they finished building the pool, we have had multiple things break and have had to have technicians come out to fix them. We had two project managers during the building process. The first PM was awful and didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He was lazy. He quit in the middle of our pool being built. The second PM, Josh, even though new to the business, was helpful and way more communicative. A&S will sell you on good prices and shorter timeline than other pool companies, but don't take the bait. We regret going with A&S so much. We are more irritated by our pool than we are enjoying it and it breaks our heart. We might as well have just thrown the money away. Seriously. The pool also lacks finesse and looks like it's 15 years old, rather than 2. CURRENTLY: For the second year in a row, our pool equipment has sprung a leak. Before this (a week ago), our pool lights weren't working and we had someone come out and fix it. Two days later, the fountains stopped working. All of a sudden, today, the fountains were on (usually they come on at night and not during the day) and the equipment is gushing water. When this happened last year, they told us to keep the filters running during the cold weather to avoid something bursting. We followed their instructions to a T and guess what? The same issue happened. It's unreal. Having to deal with all these issues on top of this, apparent, yearly equipment leaking is something we didn't sign up for. And nor should you. We just had the technician come out and fix the leak. There was a crack in the valve (just like last year). When I asked why this keeps happening he said, "I don't know what to tell you." Cool. Nice. Insightful. When I asked if covering the pipes with foam would help he said, Sure. As a precaution. Wow. Thanks for the feedback. I mean, I have no words. Do not go with this company. We, unfortunately, will have to deal with them until we, maybe, move. Honestly, having an A&S pool is making me want to move....
