AMC Barton Creek Square 14

AMC People are nice. The Auditorium was well tended. And, I always like recliners! But several of these had worn upholstery. The biggest shocker was in the women's restroom closest to Auditorium 10, the hand sinks are atrocious. There's only one of them that has decent water pressure the others are literal trickles! The faucet in the photograph is at full power! The water hits the sink at one inch from the back rim. I was happy to find a different sink to use.

Great place to watch a movie, seats are comfortable, seat reservation is new to me and worked out seamlessly.

Pretty good as theaters go. Parking is easy because lot is huge, and ticketing and check-in process at kiosks is quick enough. Theater is pretty clean every time I've visited, and the IMAX screens and sound quality are great. Good place to see a new-release movie, especially if you want IMAX quality.

I am a fan of AMC. I have been a Stubs members for many years. I default to AMC for my movie experiences. All of those experiences have been good except at AMC Barton Creek, Austin, TX. I have been to that facility at least 6 times and each time has been a disappointment. The lobby is dirty with popcorn and other debris on the floor throughout. The service is lacking and without enthusiasm. Some of the drink machines are usually out of order. The other drink machines typically have flat tasting drinks. The restrooms have always been filthy and smelly. Urinals are oftentimes out of order. The waste receptacles for paper towels are usually overflowing. The auditorium that we visited recently had a musty and unpleasant order. These are not the experiences for which I am accustomed with AMC. It has pushed me to default to Alamo Drafthouse as my first choice in Austin.
