Top Hat Cleaners

This a No Star rating. We have traded with them since 2008. We have had occasional problems but nothing like this week. They mixed up orders several weeks ago. After several tries they got us our clothes and we returned clothes that did not belong to us. They ask about a "red shirt" still missing. I checked our closet twice and did not see the shirt. Several days ago I dropped off 11 shirts and 1 pant. They again asked about the shirt. I told them I would check again. I did and found a red woman's blouse. Because it was a blouse it hung lower on the hanger which looked empty first glance. I took it with me from work in order to drop it off In the meantime, my husband stopped to pick up our clothes. As he walked into the store, the attendant began to yell at him about the "red shirt." Then told him our clothes WERE BEING IMPOUNDED AT THE MAIN FACILITY until we returned the shirt. Messages were exchanged. I was texted our clothes would be at the Tech Ridge location at 12:30 p.m. yesterday. When I arrived they were not there. I was told they needed the shirt first. I explained I would be happy to give them the shirt as soon as I got my clothes. To say I was angry is a bit of an understatement. This morning, Saturday, I received a message saying my clothes were at the Tech Ridge location. I returned with the blouse. The attendant, whom I have never seen before, retrieved my clothes. However, she refused to hang them on the delivery rod until I handed her the shirt. I asked to hang them where I could count and make sure everything was there. She refused. When I argued with her, she called her manager who called the police. In the meantime I spoke with Kevin, who said I was completely out of line and I could "GO TO HELL" because I was angry. The cop arrived and asked the attendant to hang the clothes on the rod -- AND SHE HESITATED! -- before complying. I checked and everything was there. I handed her the blouse and paid the bill. These people totally treated us as if we were trying to abscond with clothes that were not ours. The attendant today clutched my clothes away from mew as if she somehow thought I was going to grab them and run out of the store. Mind you, I am 73. I walk with a cane. It has been years since I was able to run anywhere. This is the worst treatment I have ever received from an establishment that I have patronized like this. WE WILL NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. We have put up with shoddy work. We don't starch shirts. This whole thing started because they starched part of our wash so still the shirts could stand by themselves. The mix up came when they redid the laundry. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way these people do their customers.

I cannot stand this place. They charge close to $5 for each shirt. You pay this price and you have to take your shirt back home and iron it yourself. One time I gave them a brand new shirt and they even did not bother to take the tag off from the shirt. They ironed the shirt with the tag on. I took the shirt home and noticed the tag was melted on my brand new and expensive shirt. Please save your time and money by avoiding this place.
