I ordered for delivery egg drop soup and it was very salty and orange. Then I got sweet and sour chicken and the sauce was already on top of it, gross and soggy. Then the shrimp fried rice hardly had any flavor 😑.

I've been going here since 2006 and keep coming back, even though I live nowhere near the restaurant. The shrimp with mixed vegetables is my standby (made spicy). Love this place!

China Cafe is my FAVORITE Chinese Food restaurant in the entire metro area. The ambience is calm and quiet and the prices are great. They have a lunch menu with some of the more popular selections but you can always order from the regular menu. The service is outstanding. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming whenever I have dined here. I’ve never had to ask for a refill and they have been able to always meet my needs of having to change up a recipe, etc. Their sweet and sour soup is THE BEST I’ve ever had, anywhere. It’s a secret recipe comprised of different vinegars; very hard to replicate. I could go there and eat a large bowl of this alone and be happy. I have never ordered out from here but I can say I live in the northern suburbs and have driven into town just to come to their restaurant, bypassing several other choices of restaurants and Chinese food. The kicker? I’m not even real big on Chinese food so I am very particular on the Chinese food that I do eat. I discovered this place during my work week and I have brought my family here on my days off because I’ve liked it so much. Very good in my opinion.

The sweet and sour chicken was rubbery and lacking flavor. It was ~$10 and the portion was large but it just didn't taste good. The cream cheese puffs were really good though! 6 for $6.50 is a very reasonable price.
