My overall experience at ZTejas was very underwhelming. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, and my mimosa but that was about it.
Even as our area started to clear out, service was incredibly slow for us to the point where I noticed that tables that sat down after us were receiving food before we were. After giving our drink order, we were told that cornbread would be out to our table soon: never even saw that cornbread. We sipped on our drinks for close to an hour before our entrees came out. My boyfriend had to get a new plate of tacos because they came cold and had obviously been sitting out.
I had the Chrorizo Migas and I liked the presentation, but for how many ingredients were in itit was pretty bland. I ate a couple of bites and decided that I would take it home to season, reheat and eat later.
There has been a lot of hype around ZTejasand for me, they didnt live up to that this time around. I do want to come back during a less busy hour and try something different!
