We bought a Landmark home in 2017 - fully customized to our choices. First issue appeared about 2 years into ownership. Multiple windows on all sides of the house were leaking during storms - dripping puddles inside the house. We were outside warranty but Landmark agreed to come look and "fixed" the issues for us. They concluded that it was poor and improper installation of window waterproofing that caused the windows all over the house to leak. Another year goes by, more windows leak. They agree to come back and fix them again.
Now it's 2021, and our back door subfloor is completely rotten. They suggest it's a refrigerator leak and we go thru insurance instead. Insurance determines it was improper installation of the door and threshold that caused the damage. Then we find a roof leak and one of the original windows that was fixed is now leaking for the 3rd time. We only realized there was a roof leak because the ceiling in our garage now has water damage. This is the complete opposite experience I wanted for a brand new home. Every 6 months there are new leaks popping up all over the house. This is a nightmare.
Landmark took ownership of some original issues but then decided they had fixed enough. Don't make the mistake we did. Do not buy a house from Landmark!
