I recently moved into a house built by Doug Myhand Construction.  The house was built in 2009.  I can tell you the construction of this home is average at best.  One room is 1/2in out of level in 6 ft.  The floors have multiple high and low spots also. This is due to the builder not taking the time to crown the floor joists. Multiple little things where the builder didn't take the time to make it right. I'd try another builder in Middle TN if I were looking to have a new home built.

BEWARE! We lived next to one of his home build sites for a year. The ways he treated us, had no respect for the neighborhood, and numerous obvious construction deficiencies were painful to watch. And now, to top it off, he is MIA leaving the homeowners without steps to their porch, no landscaping, and other unfinished details.
He had no concern for the rivers of rocks and mud through our yard caused by his mountain of red clay foundation dirt across the property line. No erosion control, no attempts to protect our property or the lake from run off. Our pleas were ignored and the only way to get any action was to get the county to address it. His crews littered the neighborhood, left construction debris to blow around. We picked up trash from our yard almost daily. I am only an engineer with much DIY renovation experience, so i will refrain from commenting on the numerous apparent deficits in construction quality.
His behavior alienated all the neighbors against the new owners before they moved in (they also did not appear to try to remedy any of his issues and defended his actions.)
His unprofessional immature behavior even extended to HANGING UP on me when I called concerned about the dangerously over full dumpster that had sheet rock about to slide off. Then he added insult to injury by telling the client to tell my landlord to tell me to not call him again. Are we in middle school? Landlord and other neighbors told her how unprofessional he had been and that he would be paying for the torn up road they caused.
Now the grand finale, he pulled up his sign and left them with an unfinished house! No steps to porch, no landscaping, piles of construction debris and unused bricks.
