Taming the wild is absolutely exceptional! It is well worth every penny! From the cleanliness of the place to the professionalism of the staff, I give this place 5 stars!! Our dog participated in the enhanced training and she is doing amazing! We would recommend Taming the Wild to anyone and everyone! Makenzie was our trainer and we couldnt have been more pleased! She kept us in touch the entire time and was very thorough in our exit lesson to make sure we were prepared to take our dog home! If you are on the fence, I say DO IT! You wont regret it!

Cant say enough great things!! We have a rescued, Doberman/Boxer mix. We tried training at home and a few paid training sessions. But our boy had SO much energy, was reactive, and quite frankly took over our lives. We wanted a better relationship with our pup. He is a big boy and takes up a lot of space. Mouthing, counter surfingyou name it, he did it, and we could not break him of it on our own. After seeing mutual friend recommend Taming the Wild, I reached out. From my first phone call to picking him up at graduation, it was a great experience. Ashley, the primary trainer, was amazing. Such a caring professional who helps the owners so much by sharing her expertise. In our crossover lesson, I was so afraid that I would not be able to maintain the investment we made in our relationship with our beloved Scoob. But knowing that I can reach out at any time for guidance is a great comfort and support. Also, the homework for the owners was so, so helpful for me. I could literally go on for much more, but I will say this. The basic + e-collar enhancement board and train has changed our life and our relationship with our sweet boy has grown so much!

Im glad theres not a word limit because I could go on and on about how this training has changed not only my dogs life, but mine as well. Owning a Great Dane is challenging, but owning a Great Dane that was stubborn, and strong willed was scary. I was limited on what I could do and where I could go with my dog. Im now able to take him with me everywhere and I love hearing people comment about his behavior. Its one thing to train our dogs, but its another thing when the staff takes time to train the owners. Being able to go back and refresh skills whenever needed has been invaluable. When things dont go to plan, I hear the trainers voice in my head telling me what to do - and it works every time. If youre considering enrolling your dog, dont hesitate. Taming the Wild was recommended to me and Ive not regretted it for one minute. Every dog owner deserves a well-trained dog. And every dog deserves a well-trained owner.

My family and I could not be happier with the training that Taming the Wild provided for our girls - and for us! This was our third attempt at getting training that worked for our two female rescues. Before coming to Taming the Wild, we tried in-home training with certified trainers and also sending our dogs to a week long behavioral training program. Neither of those things stuck with our dogs or worked very well for us to incorporate into our daily lives. Bryan, Ashley and the Team at Taming the Wild changed that for us and we are forever grateful! We rescued our girls two years apart from each other when they were both very young puppies. They are now 8 and 6 years old. They're both precious angels in our lives and always have been...however...they had some bad behaviors that we just couldn't seem to get under control. We felt trapped in our own home. We worried about anyone ringing the doorbell, any activity that was out of the ordinary and anyone coming to our home to provide a service (yard, pest, repairs, etc). When you have two - they sometimes feed off of each other. So, when one gets worked up, the other gets worked up and they become hard to control. Top that with one of our girls being EXTREMELY ANXIOUS ALL THE TIME, and it magnifies the circumstances tremendously. As much as our girls get along, love each other and play with each other, when these tense moments of anxiousness and bad behavior arose, it would sometimes lead to the two of them getting into fights with each other. Ugly ones that were hard to stop. Stitches, drains, weeks of medications, cones of shame and keeping them away from each other while they healed :(. It was so sad and so hard for ALL OF US. A close friend of ours had sent one of her dogs to Taming the Wild and said it was not only successful for them, but a totally different approach to training than we had tried in the past. So we gave it a try and we're so glad we did! Both of our girls did the 21-day Board & Train Enhanced Training program based on our needs. We missed them LIKE CRAZY while they were gone!!! However, Ashley was WONDERFUL about sending us updates, pictures and videos each week! She always let us know what they were working on, what they had mastered and how they were doing. When she would send videos, you could hear Ashley and the team talking to our girls and you could just feel the love they had for them! Such a small thing to notice, but such a big feeling of comfort to us that not only were they being taken care of, but treated kindly and LOVED!!! Of special note - as was mentioned earlier, we have one sweet girl with overwhelming anxiety. During the girls training, Bryan evaluated her and shortly after, we met with him to discuss how to help make her life less stressful and happier. He recommended that we try an anti-anxiety medication in addition to the training. We've tried meds for her in the past, but nothing seemed to work or help calm her down. After approval from our vet, we started this new regimen and it has made A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE in all our our lives!!! Since completing the board & train program, our girls understand what is expected of them and you can visibly see how proud they are when they complete a command we've asked of them. It's a WIN for us and a WIN for them - and that makes for a much happier life together! Thank you Bryan, Ashley & the Team at Taming the Wild!!!

About
Taming the Wild

In the early spring of 2012, Kira and Bryan Bailey decided to combine their lifelong experience and passion working with animals into a business venture that could change the lives of pet owners across the country. Bryan's 30 years of experience as both a professional trainer and an expert in predatory social behavior and Kira's experience working with small luxury hotels, including the Ritz-Carlton, allowed them to cultivate the innate ability to make every client feel like family with unsurpassed customer service. The result was the creation of ProTrain Memphis, a professional dog training business that soon after its founding became recognized as one of the best in the country.
