Magnuson Hotel Nashville North

Horrible horrible place. We checked in and went into the room to put our bags down. Went to McDonald’s right down the road and ate, came back to the room to settle in. Once I lifted the covers, dried blood on both bed sheets and the pillow cases were very dirty. I went to the person at the front desk to ask for new sheets and he started to quarrel that he isn’t giving me a room change. I told him all I needed were new sheets and he threw a tantrum about us signing in three hours and I said, that wasn’t us. My husband and I are teachers and we are on a road trip with our son, we weren’t looking for any trouble. Should have taken our money elsewhere.

Rooms were ok but deck clerk was rude and refused to give me my change until I had to get a bit aggressive and told him to give me all my money back and I would go stay somewhere else.

0 stars I booked a reservation here months before I arrived to find out on the day of my arrival that they had canceled my reservation with no notification whatsoever. They had my phone number and email and decided even though they had canceled my reservation a month before I arrived that it was too much effort to contact me so that I could re-book somewhere else. The only reason I even found it is because I called before my flight to confirm my arrival time. When I asked to re-book the front desk staff became aggressive and confrontational on the phone because they knew they were in the wrong and left me stranded and scrambling to find a place to stay last minute. Then they actually hung up the phone as they were screaming into the phone at me and shut off their phones so that you could not call them. This was the most unprofessional and disrespectful experience I have ever had with a hotel. This place is a scam and a shady hotel who operates with a particularly unprofessional front desk lady who was unwilling to right her wrongs and rebook my room. DO NOT STAY HERE.

0/5 stars for me. First, this hotel is a SCAM. We recently came to Nashville and last minute had an issue with our Airbnb. We were left to find a hotel last minute, which leaves the picking slim on a busy weekend for the city. We booked a standard double queen room. When we got there to check in, they asked us how many people were staying - it was four. They told us the reservation was only for 3 guests and 4 people would be an extra $60 cash charge. We tried to dispute this and they said $60 cash for 4 people. We asked if we could put it on our card, they said no cash only. We asked for a receipt and the guy took a blank piece of paper and wrote $60 cash on it and handed that to us. After talking to other guests, they said the same thing happened to them except they charged them more than $60. They only gave us one room key. We asked for a second one and they said it would be $2 extra for the key, but would be returned to us on checkout. We passed as we did not believe them. The room was definitely not the best. Stains on the comforter, tears in the curtains and dirty towels. There is only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. We overheard another guest say they charged for additional toilet paper rolls. Absolutely a scam. Do not stay here even if you have to. I would have rather stayed in my car.
