Baymont Inn & Suites Gatlinburg On The River

Our first time here. We love it so much we're staying another night. So much to see and do. Its beautiful. We're from Australia, loving Gatlinburg and the Snowy mountains Rooms: We have 2 queen size beds. Beautiful, smaller bathroom but has everything you need Nearby activities: Too much to list Walkability: Everything is walking distance Food & drinks: So many options. Beautiful restaurants, live singing.

This is a Motel with an upgraded paint job and newer decor. Not really sure what all people are expecting for these rates? Pros: Our room was clean, nice view, convenient location for one night, breakfast wasn't great wasn't terrible. There's a pancake place across the street if you'd like. Cons: Good luck with parking if you check in late. Thin/drafty walls. The absolute worst bed I have ever slept on in my entire life. I legitimately considered sleeping on the floor it was that bad. We asked for extra pillows and it was still like sleeping on nothing. Overall, we wanted a decent place to stay so we could do activities the next day. That's what we got.

The staff was so mean. Same lady yelled at us multiple times because we asked when our room was going to be ready. She said a time and it wasn't ready an hour after that. Then kept yelling at us because we were asking and we were polite. The rooms were not clean. The beds were not comfortable. The top lock on the door did not work. The same lady basically told us she couldn't do anything about it. The rooms are not soundproof at all. You can hear the loud road right next to the hotel. The breakfast was disgusting. The parking lot is not convenient at all. It's hard to get out and in. They have a lower parking lot they don't salt when it ice. They did not ice any of their parking lots or sidewalks.

The view from your balcony is amazing! It's a great place to stay for the price and proximity to the parkway.
