What can I say that can accurately describe the quality and craftsmanship of this furniture? I looked for several years ( I'm beyond patient) for something that would fit this space, be super tough and have the design I wanted. I found that all the bigger furniture stores used inferior materials and had many complaints about their quality (pottery barn, west elm, the usual higher end retailers). I found this company on the good ole internets, being from Florida, its hard to go visit a furniture maker in South Dakota, but I saw the reviews and figured id reach out to them to see what they can do with a design idea I had. Starting from the initial email, Greg was super responsive and open to the idea of sending a massive custom couch to some random guy in Florida, scary for both of us really. The rough design I gave Greg turned into an absolute masterpiece once he got his hands around it and started the building. Every step of the way (which took about 6 weeks) he let me know what was happening and how far along he was. The Hardest part of the whole process was getting the couch from South Dakota to me in Orlando. There are several ways to get it there, he offers a common carrier that is used to transport all sorts of things across the country. Its cost effective and relatively quick, but their drivers are are over worked and underappreciated, which is sad for them. If at all go with a smaller carrier if you can find one, it will be worth the money even if its more. After a month of having this couch its sounds silly to say that its the center of our world, but it really is. My son builds forts on it with his friends. We do weekly movie nights, visits with grandparents. I was sick recently and spent a solid week on it in absolute misery, I was super comfortable though! Our two English's springers lay on it all day and that, obviously is the most important thing, the goonie dogs love it. I cant speak to the quality of this 10, 20, or even 30 years from now, but I have a strong feeling that we as a family will be enjoying the quality and craftsmanship decades from now. To Greg and his team, thanks so much for taking my horrible drawings and turning them into a heirloom piece of furniture. One day, hopefully in the next year I will be reaching out again to add more pieces to my collection of solidly and proudly American made Bison Leather furniture.
