Our go to for Thai food ! Warm elegant atmosphere with great service. Their curry dishes have the right amount of spice and flavor. And their soups are wonderful. They are consistent

First let me say this review is long over due. The first time we ever ate at Basil Thai was around Valentine day and today is March 21. So over a month and about 5 visits later - I am ready to write my review. You may want to ask- well why the delay. Well like I said we went on Valentine's Day - so I would expect everything to be carefully handled. I really enjoyed the meal, the Valentine's Day special menu, and the manager coming over to meet and greet. It boarded on a comfortable and unpretentious upscale. My question was: are they putting on a show for the special occasion? So I decided to visit them a few more times before judging too quickly. As it turns out they have kept up appearances so far! While I would like to encounter more of an infusion style restaurant in Basil Thai simply for variation of menu and a little wow to go with the really good food - this is a restaurant that I am getting the good old "Hall's Chop House" feeling about. In other words - the place will be often frequented. The fried duck dish is amazing as is the coconut soup and basil barramundi. But we've taken to going during Linner and just found out there is a happy hour that we can doubly enjoy our Linner with! (If you didn't know - Linner is the time between Lunch and Dinner . When we go to Linner we have already adopted a habit. We sit at the tables flanking the bar. We order Thai Chicken Wings, Fried Rice and Stuffed Shrimp. And we have at the very least; 2 Basil Lime Martini's. The Basil Lime Martini is a MUST HAVE. But not just any one - we literally try to make sure we are there with a Bartenderess - (I forgot her name! I will update when we go back - she is in one of the videos posted below pouring her masterpiece). Ask for it using top shelf and half the simple. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Unless you are a little crazy, then you might be disappointed . During happy hour you may want to stick to the house vodka to keep the happy hour price but the good news is: The happy hour house is Frïs Vodka. At least its what was used at our happy hour so ask to make sure but that in my opinion is a GREAT low price vodka choice because for some reason - it taste crisp and clean as though it were not low prices as opposed to the not so good vodka taste of typical low priced vodka. I dont know how they do it, something maybe to do with their patented cold temp distillation. Anyway if you are looking to save a buck on the spirits, your tongue will not hate you for this choice. Then there is dessert. Try the Green Tea Cheesecake and the Key Lime Pie. I love a dessert that does not drown you in sweetness. The food here is flavorful and delightful without being overwhelming or over the top. And guess what? The manager cane over to meet and greet again. So he wasnt putting on a show for the holiday occasion - he simply knows good ettiqute and when a place wants to know or begins to recognize its patrons, you realize that their heart is in their establishment, they are truly interested and they can be expected to put their best foot forward. Bonus - one of my famous things in the world, you get to meet an interesting new person in a time where personableness seems to be in a bit of supply chain shortage. Basil Thai gets a very enthusiastic round of applause.

Food was fine. Pad See-um was a bit off. Hostess was very unpleasant. She greeted us unprofessionally. She also inconsistently enforced the restaurant mask rule. Some customers were asked to wear a mask while others were not bothered, all the while her friend working the phone let his nose hang out of his mask. She should not be greeting anyone.
