I have TMJ. After a long journey through multiple specialists, I saw an orofacial pain dentist who educated me on the standard of care for TMJ, which starts with physical therapy by a trained TMJ Doctor of Physical Therapy. I am blessed to have been referred to the Wellness Institute, where my results have been dramatic over time. When I started treatment it was difficult for me to open my mouth without pain. Now I am much more functional and in much less pain, thanks to the diligent efforts of Dr. Richard Spector!

The Wellness Institute is hands down the best place in the Bluffton area for Physical Therapy.
Jordan Haughton-James is an amazing DPT who is not only welcoming and friendly, but has helped me immensely. She guides me during our sessions with functional and easy to understand exercises. She also implements manual therapy, cupping, and dry needling to the area of my injury, and I now have more range of motion and less pain with activities. I would highly recommend Jordan at the Wellness Institute if you need to see a Physical Therapist in the Okatie/Bluffton area.

One, if not the BEST, physical therapy/rehab facility in the Low Country! Nice and clean facilities with accommodating, friendly, and supportive staff especially Jordan. She knows her stuff and I always leave my sessions feeling better than when I arrived. Kudo's!!

This office is one of the best run offices I have ever been too! When walking in you are Always welcomed by name and the entire staff is always cheerful. Melinda, Amanda, Kelly and Denise are highly organized! It is a great family. Everyone chips in to do their part to alway make you feel part of their family. This is truly the role models for all offices should follow! This is the way it should be. Thank you for always taking such great care of all of us especially me!
All of the Physical Therapists are amazing and highly educated! Each are Professional and organized. I have had the pleasure of being cared for by Jordan and Sammy they are both amazing! Jordan has taken the time to get to know me and how my body reacts to the new treatments we try out. Sammy follows along at making sure Im doing the right things. I love how Michelle, Richard,Taylor, and Lauren have been great at offering advice as a team and helping you/me feel better. All of Their expertise has been greatly appreciated!
