The owner of Olympian Property's "joe" had been wht I considered friends, I had a vacant totally remodeled first floor apt.,so I contacted joe and specifically asked for an excellent tenant, my exact words were 'the best of the best' he replied that he had just that, the best of the best, I replied would you rent one of your own apartments to them, he replied absolutely they are the best of the best, figuring that a person you'd consider a friend would never screw me, I replied please send them, I rented the apartment to them without doing a background check, on the third month I went to pick up the rent for December and they said that they did not have the rent, so I asked do you need another week or so, he replied when he got it I'd get it with the following...you can't get blood out of a stone, right there I knew that I was screwed, so I had my daughter do a little background check on my new 'best of best' tenants, we were shocked to learn that the trash he had highly recommended for the sum of $600 had been evicted from one of the houses joe was managing himself, also to my shock two other evictions within the prior ten years, I contacted Joe, told him that I wanted the $600 that he had charged me for the trash he gave me and his reply was and I quote "you should have done your homework and did a background check yourself" and hung up the phone on me! So long story short, don't make the same mistake I did, get a reputable rental company for your apartment!!
