I think it's important that someone at Jamestown read this that was published on the wooden boat forum........
Has anyone on this list dealt with Fair Wind Fasteners? I've looked for reviews and can find only 5 star reviews provided by the vendor. As good as that sounds, I would like some direct feedback from unfiltered sources! I grew up in Newport and have purchased from Jamestown Distributors for years but their service has gone decidedly downhill of late. Any feedback would be appreciated including comments about quality of product as well as service!

I have been buying from JD for decades. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful prices are competitive, and they have a wide range of house brand products that are excellent quality- I have been using their water based bottom paint for years with superb results and have been very satisfied as well with their varnishes and topside
Paints. If you have questions about what your needs are be sure to ask rather than just picking a product and ordering without being sure of what you need. They are a reputable company that does honest business for the customers and they want repeat business. This is my dinghy with Wet Edge topside paint, water based matte finish blue inside paint, and Halcyon varnish

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Zero Stars!
This company's products are DEFECTIVE! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! The TUB & TILE paint is baby blue NOT white! This product ruined my entire bathroom. I have to redo my entire bathroom because of their defective product. They admitted the product is defective but will NOT reimburse me for anything other than the $31.99 for the can of paint. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!

First of all I am NO PRO. Called in to buy Epoxy resign for a Boat was sold a weaker Epoxy used for arts and crafts and charged way more managment refused to help me get the correct product offered me coupon for very little value. Never buy from them again.

Jamestown Distributors is a great source for nearly all marine products. Their speed and accuracy when filling orders is exemplary, and their customer service is beyond compare. JD is my go-to for supplies because they run a very tight ship (yes, that's a pun, but it's entirely true). As an industry professional, I often choose them over Mesco, Kellogg and other distributors who have locations close to me. Their excellence in business has helped my business thrive.
