Needed a lower mast section for my sea pearl. Found the item on the dwyer website. Called multiple times leaving multiple messages. After 3 weeks I spoke to them and they said they were waiting on a shipping quote. Still waiting after a month for an answer or quote. Guesstimate is over $400 dollars shipping for a 10ft section. Should have just repaired my old one and been sailing weeks ago. Andi/Corpus Christi, Tx

Dwyer Mast and Rigging made a replacement aluminum mast section for my small sailboat. They were responsive, used high quality materials, delivered exactly what they promised and charged a very reasonable price. Wish every business operated this way. Thank you to Mike, who oversaw our project.

I have heard some people complain about this place, but I have had good experience with them. Admittedly they can sometimes have a curmudgeon-like attitude but they are trustworthy and that's all that matters.
UPDATE; they are under new ownership as the original owners retired in May 2018. While shebang moved to Rhode Island and are part of Zim Sails. Hopefully theyll continue making parts but who knows...get extra parts now while they last and are reasonably priced...

I placed an order on May 30th and was subsequently told they were sold out of the parts I needed. It's 3 weeks later and they can't even tell me when or if they have scheduled a production run. They don't respond to emails and they are rude on the phone. I've canceled my order and I hope I never need to deal with this company again.
*Edit* these guys ended up sending the parts out and didn't charge me for them. They were super late but they made a solid effort to make up for it. I can't fault a company when they take a loss to correct an error. Well played Dwyer.

I regretfully post one star. BEWARE!! I have dealt with Dwyer mast over the past 10 years, it appears they have now changed owners.
I placed an order for a pair of tangs on the 28th of may.
May 28. My order was refused over the telephone and i was directed to the website.... which didn't work. i left messages none were answered.
And so i went back and forth with the operator over 5 phone calls to get my web order to "take" instead of taking my order over phone.. again refused.
My credit card was charged.
3 weeks later the wrong parts showed up.. not even close.
These things happen, sympathetic i telephoned "Dwyer" again.
After explaining the issue ( i am the very last person to ever complain or fuss) the person on the order desk was silent... i said "hello". Their response was "Well what do you want me to do?" and before i could explain i wished for the proper product, they interrupted to tell me they were too busy to be dealing with this.
I telephoned back.. this time with MUCH reluctance they agreed to send out the tangs mostly concerned with getting their wrong order (of minimal value) back.
2 weeks went by, no tangs ( 5 weeks in, I am paying $40 a night on a wharf awaiting these parts, we are a cruising family with blue collar employment, this is our only reason for being berthed).
I telephoned again.The exact same person, same response... what do you want me to do.. no recollection of past call.. eventual admission that no replacements had been sent. "because the same thing might happen again."
I became very frustrated and demanded to speak with manager. None were available, and as they were so busy the problem could not be addressed that day.
I called back and literally begged and pleaded, explaining my personal circumstances. This time the rude person on the phone seemed to hear me ( as i suspect this drama is not their fault) and emailed me pictures from the warehouse from their personal email of the tangs.
It became apparent that they do not know what they are selling.
Ordered May 28th, the tangs arrived (much to my surprise) on July 6th.
The fact that the product eventually arrived made me hesitant to post a negative review, as the Dwyer products are (were) top notch. But with out my begging i feel this company would have ripped me off. Heads up!! They seemed to have no intention of making good with my purchase.
This was a very disappointing transaction.
Stay away.
