I've been going here since 2008. Was really sad to see Dr. David retire but my hygienist Denise is still there, met the new Dr today and she is personable and even though it was just a cleaning overall great. Highly recommend

I had 2 minor cavity fillings in April, since then I've gone in twice from tooth pain from the fillings. When I floss it pulls at the fillings and is pretty painful. The dentist seemed annoyed during my first return trip and was fairly rude the 2nd time. I was told to use smaller floss, which has obviously made no difference. One tooth has a throbbing pain throughout the day and I was told its gum recession and was there before, even though I was not experiencing this pain before getting the fillings. Overall disappointed with the dental care and frustrated with how I was treated

The Fishtown Dentistry team is awesome! During a routine cleaning the hygienist noticed a patch on my tongue that looked different and after review by the dentist, she recommended I see an oral surgeon. The dentist and hygienist were helpful with answering my questions and compassionate during this fearful situation. When I couldnt get an appointment with an oral surgeon for 6 weeks, I called the office. Dr. Mozaffari was super helpful and someone from the office called around to different oral surgeons and was able to get me an appointment the same day!! I cannot imagine having to wait 6 weeks to be seen. I highly recommend this dentist office!

I started going to Fishtown Dentist based off great reviews in 2017. My first couple visits were great, they were all routine cleanings - nothing major. I thought the staff were nice and welcoming, The Dr. & Hygienist I saw were great...until I went in for my routine cleaning in 2020 and their bedside manor was completely off from what I previously experienced. All of the sudden I had "great teeth" to "if you do not have this major cleaning surgery done your teeth may fall out" The surgery seemed extreme to me and I was scared! Then they recommended I should come in for more than 2 cleanings a year to help. When I mentioned to them my insurance only covers 2 visits a year, they made me feel financially insecure since I would have to pay out of pocket, and it really seemed like they were mad at me because I may need extra help with my teeth? I ended up making the 3rd cleaning visit as I want to have healthy teeth...after the cleaning and checkup was over the Hygienist seemed annoyed that my teeth had improved and I might not need the surgery "right away." She legit did not seem like she wanted to help me in anyway and I really couldn't understand why as the first couple visits our rapport was just fine. After that visit, I decided I will pay my bill and will be looking for a new dentist. I got the bill in the mail, but it also mentioned my insurance was terminated - whoops, I forgot to update my dental insurance when my company switched over. I sent them an email right away and never got a response, and then I called and provided the new insurance over the phone for them to resubmit. 2 months later I still have not received an updated bill... I called today to check in and they never updated my insurance. Woof. This was just not a good fit and I would not recommend this practice to anyone. To me, it seemed like they were trying to get money from me then actually helping me, not to mention they were just flat out mean! I saw Dr. Slobodinsky has recently retired and they now have a new Dr. I'm not really interested in giving them a try as I thought the Hygienists was what really made me feel uncomfortable.
