Pottery Barn has some of the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I have spent ~ $4000 in merchandise at Pottery Barn and have wasted almost 6 hours of my life on customer service calls. I ordered four chairs that never arrived after two months, so I called to cancel the order and get my money back. After waiting for hours just to speak to someone who had the authority to cancel my order, their only option was to offer me merchandise credit. Why would I want store credit for an order that was never fulfilled? I waited on hold and was transferred to multiple different people before I was able to speak to someone who finally told me she could manually refund my credit card. Update: Im still waiting for a refund. The same thing happened when they only refunded me for three out of four chairs that I returned. Again, it took hours and hours to speak to someone who was able to help me and refund me my money for the return. I was never once offered any type of restitution or apology for these inconveniences. Do yourself a favor and dont buy anything of value online at Pottery Barn. if youre not sure youre like it, the hassle of returning it will not be worth the item itself.
