    I strongly recommend this apartment. Kevin Stone is very helpful! He actually goes out his way to help tenants. From my experience,  Kevin Stone was honest and very professional.  I am very happy and pleased with the service provided. Also, the maintenance manager is excellent! Overall, my experience here has been more than great and the staff makes it even better. Keep up the good work. Best

    I am appalled to say that I live in such an unsafe and unprofessional environment. My husband was physically threatened by the management team today and we had to call the police. I have no words for such treatment. This is in addition to two break-ins that occurred and that is just in the month of August. Do yourself a favor DO NOT move here if you value you and your family’s safety.

    Since Harbor Group has taken over the operation and general upkeep of the building has been atrocious. My air conditioning has been out for 3 days and it is 81 degrees inside the apartment. So far, the only response has been a maintenance representative coming out and removing the air filter. I have called the main office over 10 times with no answer. Placed 2 work order and 1 emergency work orders with no response. Kevin finally answered after the 14th call and said they would follow up. Crime has been on the rise since Harbor Group acquired the Athena. There were 2 forced entries in the last month and they failed to notify the residents until they received emails from residents asking for some sort of communication. No additional protective measures have been implemented. Lower Merion Police Officers stated that they are on scene at the Athena a disproportionate amount compared to other complexes in their area of responsibility. Management is apathetic towards issues that are brought to their attention by residents. Often times ignored altogether. I have lived here almost 4 years and since Harbor Group has taken over the quality of life has dropped drastically. I will not be renewing my lease.

    I'm a current resident becoming extremely dissatisfied with the community here at Royal Athena. There's constantly trash all over the parking lot, especially after the dumpsters are emptied. The air conditioning unit in our apartment has been broken for weeks and although we were given a portable AC unit to use since we're in a heat wave, the AC company and management at Royal Athena didn't communicate properly and were under the impression our AC was fixed - it's currently still broken. The bridge that residents only have access to that connects you easily to Main Street in Manayunk has been broken and out of use more frequently than not. I overheard another resident expressing her frustration to management last week because packages are just left out in the open for anyone who walks by to grab (despite having a locked package room), and her package was lost. I rarely receive a phone call back when I call / leave a message. I was hoping I'd be satisfied enough to renew my lease in the near future but have been dissatisfied as of lately.

    At first glance, this place is great. Right on the river, very close to Manayunk, 15 minutes from center city. I was excited when I first toured here and got my lease set up. Mark was super helpful throughout the whole move-in process. Unfortunately, the turnover at this place is ridiculously high so Mark wasn't there less than a month after my move-in. Within my first three months I already was sick of living here. With the fire alarms, paper thin walls and ceilings, and negligent management my attitude about living here changed drastically. My upstairs neighbor would be running across his apartment at all hours of the night which would wake me up. I spoke to a few people at the leasing office about this but nothing changed. My cat passed away during my time here and I had to email, go to the leasing office, and call the number online multiple times before they actually removed my monthly pet rent. You can only imagine how heartbreaking and frustrating it was to bring up my cat's death that many times and be ignored. This place was a mess right up until the very end. Was only here a year and during my move out process not one but BOTH of the elevators were broken. I don't understand how they let this happen, especially if there are handicapped individuals living at the complex. On top of that, I tried multiple times to schedule a move out walkthrough/inspection of my apartment with the maintenance team. Again, went to the office twice and emailed, and no reply. Moving out of this place has improved my mental health tenfold. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
