I banked with Sterling bank for many years. Their service is friendly and I quite enjoyed working with them, and would call some of their employees personal friends...however recently they made an internal banking error(by their own admission) which caused me to lose much faith in the company. I liked the small bank atmosphere because they were able to work with me and my business on many issues and challenges over the years. This recent mishap was nothing more than a bank "oversight", but their unwillingness to resolve this issue will lead to me having a ding on my credit. I feel as though dinging their online reputations is a fair trade-off.
They were a 4-star bank previously, but not fixing a simple error on their part, and then trying to spin it around on me left a bad taste in my mouth. Moving on...
