I had an incredible experience working with the Portland Housing Center! The staff are so supportive, patient, and responsive. This program really helped me understand, prepare for, and complete the home buying process. Turns out, it's really hard! It helped so much to have Portland Housing Center on my team.

Jessenia and Troy are a wonderful team! Jessenia and Troy are individuals who exude a high level of integrity, compassion and are at a mastery level as a home buying team. Both communicated and responded quickly and no question was left unanswered. Troy is an awesome negotiator and is connected to the community at large. Jessenia is meticulous, dedicated to expressing all concerns during each phase of the home buying process. My counselor at PHC (Humberto) really gave me the knowledge and confidence to go through the very stressful process of buying my first house. The one day course was also incredibly helpful although it did feel a little bit like drinking from a fire hose because of all of the information needed about the process. The people that they referred for lending and other resources were also fantastic so they are a trusted resource in my book. I feel like I couldn't have done it the way I did without them!

The knowledge we gained through the classes offered by PHC meant we had no surprises about what it took to buy our home our what it will take to stay in it. We feel much more prepared to be homeowners now!
