Kathy's Estate & Moving Sales

I've been going to Kathy's sales for years and years. She is the sweetest person and her prices are good. She always remembers her regulars. Entrance is first come, first in (usually no sign up lists) so it's kept fair (no early birds sneaking in like some other sellers). Items are well organized and she has staff helping in different areas. During Covid she has been very responsible.

pricing in one room was different than the higher price at the checkout ... i ended up paying (for books) a considerable amount more than i should have ... but i didn't want to cause a scene, so i just left ... and, yes, that's my fault ... kathy was very nice, but the older gentlemen that was working there, should not have been there ... he made it clear, he had better things to do, and his behaviour is why i will not be back ... kathy do yourself a favor, and let that one go ... and finally, although you were very nice to me, i have to say that it is a bit tacky to leave a five star review for your own company ... if you need to address complaints, you have the option to respond to each review (but you already knew this)

What a joke, showed up with my mature and quiet and well behaved 10 year old and the grumpy old bouncer at the door talked rude to her and told her go outside. If you see a sign for Kathy’s estate sale just keep on driving! No kids under 12 allowed

I have been to a great number of estate sales in the Portland area over a number of years. Kathy does quality sales, markets professionally for her clients and she prices items correctly. Her sales are clean, organized and a pleasure to attend. I appreciate not tripping over children that parents are not watching. Customers are limited for the home size. I have been to many other sales that are SO crowded that many valuable items get broken. Kathy is knowledgeable and offers a polished, wonderful environment for anyone who appreciates beautiful items displayed well. Clients keep her very busy. I shall attend as many of her sales as I can.

Mark, I was not rude to your daughter. I saw you pull up then both of you walked past the A-frame sign, in the driveway that clearly stated that no children under 12 are allowed. Then proceeded to the front door where there was another sign saying the same thing. Upon entering, I asked your daughter how old she was, she looked at you and said 10. I was impressed by her telling the truth (many don't in this situation). I then asked her to PLEASE wait outside. You then turned, to me and asked: "are you serious", I responded that I was. (these signs are posted for a reason). Then you turned away and said; "have a nice sale", went to your truck and proceeded to write the Google review. I don’t understand why you don’t respect our rules; when we were nothing but polite to you.
