        It's a blue Christmas at Macys and end of an era; I'm sad that this Macy's is closing. This probably signals the death knell of Lloyd Center, which was build as a seminal urban mall in the 1960's and has been a landmark in Portland. As the remaining fixtures are stripped and the mannequins corralled for their new homes, I can't help but wonder what dystopian landscapes shopping malls will become.

        They are leaving Lloyd Center, closing and selling off all fixtures, displays and mannequins downstairs. Very strange feeling.
