Ordered a motor to go into my late fathers car I inherited. They gave me a 30 day lead time after I payed in full up front. 6 months come and go and I tried to stay patient but no longer could and requested a refund. The owner claimed he sent it but after 3 weeks and still no refund I process a dispute with chase. He counters the dispute with the claim "it was picked up day of payment". I reopen the dispute many times with the proof it wasn't sent as I had emails from owner saying he couldn't fulfill the order due to "parts shortages" and he was sending the refund. Every time it was resubmitted it was denied as it was countered. The owner loved to say "visa and master card rules give you insurance so you can get your money back." when I would call him. Just be aware that this is far from the truth. Bank insurance is for when a bank goes bankrupt not for when you are a door mat like myself and give a company like this a ton of money. The bank does not bare responsibility. Just trust the reviews here. I wont name the owner as google may remove the review but his name is easily found. A quick search of google and his other entities and you will find reviews going all the way back to 2012 with the exact same complaint, I don't think that is ironic. I watched my father pass suddenly and just wanted to work on his car. This company really managed to throw salt on that wound.
Edit - Owner claims refund was verified. Not true, the only "refund" info I was sent was a hand typed email. There is another customer that complained about this same typed out refund notice on EPM's BBB profile. No proof off refund was ever sent from his end. My bank chase has a specialized team called "electronic money movement" that did a a full investigation into the claimed refund with their findings being that a refund wasn't even initiated to chase let alone sent. They are also the ones that pointed out that the refund notice EPM sent me was simply a typed out email.
I never requested a discount due to a shipping delay, that is simply a lie. A 45 day lead time turned into nearly 6 months with still no timeline given when it could be delivered where I then requested a refund. You did not force me into one because I requested a "discount".

Ordered a marine 383. This engine blew up within 2 months. I sent it back and was told that a new engine would be built and sent out. I called weekly FOR A YEAR AND A HALF and was given a multitude of excuses as to why the engine wasn't sent. It was too cold, it was too hot, the staff was going through training because there were too many defective builds, staff was let go etc. I was then told that the engine had finally shipped. After a week and no engine I called back and was told that the engine had detonated due to timing and wasn't covered but, they were going to run it under another engine warranty and would be done in a week. Still no engine. My wife was finally over it and posted a review in my name. This did not go over well. In the end, I filed a lawsuit. This did not go well. As the owner of the company is not listed and they couldn't deliver the summons so, under Florida law, the suit was dismissed. In the end, I spent almost $6000 and have absolutely nothing to show for it. They kept the engine and wouldn't talk to me. I have documented multiple pages of times and excuses given during my hundreds calls to them. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. Funny it took them almost 2 years to figure out it was a timing issue after all the lies and false promises. I will continue with my reviews until they change my mind regarding their business practices.

****MUST READ PRIOR TO YOUR PURCHASE!!!**
I purchased a 383 Marine engine from them and I had much the same issues as everyone else unfortunately.
MAIN ISSUE: The engine seemed promising but only ran for 1 hour before developing a bottom end knock (Piston slap). I removed the engine with only 2 hours run time. I took it to my local machine shop for teardown analysis. I was correct about the piston slap. #8 cylinder and piston was severely scared.
***MUST READ***: during the breakdown the camshaft was found to be incorrect from the description of the build. It was stated a XR270HR camshaft was installed. After contacting COMP CAMS who makes the XR270HR. They looked at the camshaft photos and Grind Numbers and stated this WAS NOT the XR270HR camshaft. Also EPM stated the engine was assembled with ARP hardware. My people disassembling the engine say they are not ARP, and the crank is cast iron not cast steel as stated in the build description.
UPDATED PHOTOS: CAM ON LEFT WAS IN THE ENGINE. CAM on the right is the TRUE XR270HR. All you fellow gearheads out there and look and see the dramatic lift and duration differences in the lobe profiles.
EDIT: EMP says they will work with me to get the proper internal parts for this engine and also reimburse me the cost of the XR270HR camshaft that I purchased to rebuild this engine. I have not seen the parts yet or the refund, but I will keep posted as to the progress of the solution.
