Ralph Becker of LMB Assoc., LLC was my property manager for near 3 years, from 2014-17, until I left the region. I found him very conscientious, both friendly & professional, and easy to get ahold of if a problem arose with the property. Repairs were made quickly, & problems promptly solved. He made himself available & encouraged tenants to contact him if they had any questions or problems with the property. I very much enjoyed working with him as he certainly stood out to me as one of the best property managers I've had the pleasure of dealing with over the last decade or so. We have worked with RMB Associates for over 10 years. My family has owned property in the Portland, Gresham, Beaverton, and Aloha areas for over 40 years. When preparing to sell residential property, doing repairs on apartments or residential rentals, or providing me with good subcontractor recommendations, RMB has always exceeded my expectations. They are fair, prompt, honest, and intelligent in the property management process. Both tenants and owner (me) were very impressed with his professionalism, kindness, and his ability to negotiate in difficult circumstances. Ralph has come out to deal with emergent problems within a few hours of a frantic call. His crews do the job I have hired them for and then call to see if I want them to do more for free or because they discover a need. A responsible owner wants this kind of information and support when managing multiple properties for profit. This company is great. For example, when an older four-plex was half burned down, Ralph was hired to oversee the restoration from fire damage - over $350,000 worth of repairs. The long time tenant (20 years), who was burned out from the fire in the apartment below, was offered lower rent at a temporary rental and then placed in the first habitable apartment after the repairs. Ralph negotiated that deal between the two parties. We all thought this was fair dealing. The tenant is still in that apartment 9 years later. The apartments that were repaired were all updated and Ralph rented them out within hours of posting their availability. He inspires trust and continues to make us a handy profit while treating tenants fairly. A different example was when I was selling a house and the inspector found a lack of moisture barrier and debris under a 1958 ranch house with only minimal crawlspace. RMB had a crew out laying the moisture barrier and picked up all the debris left by previous tenants. Then the crew checked the attic to make certain there were no other surprises, and cleaned up around the house since they had space in the trailer going to the dump. With his help, the house sold within a short time at the asking price. His teams work above and beyond the call of duty. Ralph has made court appearances for our family business in the past. He is very familiar with Landlord/Tenant Law. We have few evictions, but RMB Associates has our backs and we appreciate it! With his knowledge base, we have updated our security deposit standards, pet policy parameters, as well as our annual whole house safety reviews with tenants. As a family owned company we know we are better prepared for legal confrontations due to his suggestions. We respect his knowledge. I highly recommend RMB Associates for property management.
