Hi Emily - I'm sorry if this wasn't explained well at the time. The keys you'd purchased and brought in to have cut & programmed were not compatible with the ignition in your car. There was no way to make those work. Your ignition has been replaced with a part that is not standard to the vehicle, it came from a completely different manufacturer (Lexus, vs Scion) so we have no documentation that tells us what key & computer chip to use to make another one. In order to get a key that works mechanically and electronically, we'd have to have a bit of time with your existing key to find what chip is used, put it into a mechanical key that fits your ignition, and then make it work to your car. We can do this, but again, we'd need some time with the vehicle and all the keys. Again, i apologize if that wasn't communicated well. If you'd like to have us try to do this, let me know we can schedule a time on your available weekday to work on it and get you a working key.
