I had two implants placed in the same visit. Dr Argo made sure I was comfortable. He used topical numbing before shots, Nitro gas for my nerves, and the movie Overboard playing for a distraction. The anastetic he used wore off within two hours of leaving the office. Thank you Dr Argo and staff for making implant placement "No big deal".

I went to Dr. Argo for sedation dentistry. For those who do not know, you are completely out. They described it as “a spa experience “. I woke with an intense pain in my shoulder and arm. At some point my arm slid off the chair and was allowed to dangle off the side of the chair! I reached for my arm to pull it back into my lap because it was completely numb and burning, and the assistant casually tossed my arm across my body. I held onto it in extreme pain. Afterward, I met with my medical doctor who advised that it is very dangerous to be unconscious and have your extremities dangle. He suggested that their chair was undersized to fully support a body. Two years later and I still have trouble with this shoulder. I attempted to discuss this with staff and Dr. Argo however, he resisted the discussion and said things like, we’ve never had a problem before, I’m sure it’s nothing. Perhaps he was afraid of legal recourse. I write this today in hopes that he has corrected the style and/or size of his chair to accommodate an unconscious patient and to alert anyone who, like me has anxiety about dental procedures: make sure your body is fully supported before you agree to sedation.
