I bought a Mastercraft fiberglass insulated exterior door there and once installed it was glowing from the sun. Standing on the inside of the door you can clearly see all of the areas where there was no insulation. This door is supposed to be an energy star qualified door. I have it fully installed. Nailed, screwed, shimmed, caulked, etc. I go to the store to see what can be done. I was told I can tear the entire door out and return it or fill out a form and wait a month before any answers. This explanation was given to me by the General Manager, Eric. I'm not one who likes to call people out by name but he was very unhelpful or willing to work with me to resolve the issues. Basically said there is nothing he could do to help and there was nobody he could refer me to to help. I asked if we could use the brightest flashlight they sold to see if any other doors were poorly insulated. His response was they dont carry a flashlight that harnesses the power of the sun. I would expect a general manager to be a little cleaner, well spoken, and educated then what he was. Handed me a form and basically said that's the best he could do. In my experience general managers can do a lot. He acted like he had the authority of a basic cashier. Not sure why he had a taser on his hip either that he liked to adjust. Isn't that what security at the doors are for? O well. Menards has always been my favorite place to shop. If this isn't properly fixed I might never shop there again.
