Nice selection of shoes. Found an awesome pair of Bear Paws for $40. Staff were friendly. Store was clean & it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday afternoon & tax free weekend.

I'm not sure where to begin with this complaint... well, I originally started this "review" a couple of weeks ago. So when I ran across this unfinished post, it reminded me of why I started it in the first place. I was at Lowes, next door picking up some paint for a sidejob & while waiting on the paint to be mixed I ran out to my car and saw the shoe store nearby, so I headed over to Famous Footwear hoping to find some affordable shoes that were comfortable, light-weight and durable. The day had been coming along great so I was in a great mood, little did I know that was all about to change. I greeted the employees as I walked inside & began walking through the store looking at shoes. I don't remember if they responded to my greeting, but what I do remember, is the way they looked at me when they asked me if I needed any help after I had been walking around the store for some time. Being that my shoes and clothing were well worn and covered in paint, glue, etc... nonetheless, I asked if they had any cheap shoes or anything on sale & the employee behind the register laughed out loud and told me to go to Wal-Mart because they don't have cheap shoes. I continued to ask if they had a clearance section, not wanting to show that I had been offended but that didn't work because the employee continued with her arrogant and disrespectful comments which led to me asking for the employees name and exiting the store. Since a few weeks has passed since this incident I forgot her name but I will never shop here again! I still cannot believe at how rude they acted and what they said.
