From an owner perspective, definitely not a good company to work with. Very poor communication, poor maintenance, and shady business practices. I never got to approve the lease terms/household items before they placed a tenant so there was no way to disclose my grill and lawn equipment at the property, thus when they ended up broken/stolen, sandstone claims they wont replace them. Secondly, the maintenance crew never sent me reports/details of what they did, just said that they fixed whatever issue it was. To then find out, there was a hole in my kitchen wall they made in order to do another repair but never repaired the hole. I got NO copy of the move out inspection and overall poor communication/hard to actually reach anyone at the office. Would not recommend working with them - as an owner or a tenant.

***Deleted my previous post because unfortunately Google doesn't allow you to post a second review for a business or respond to the business if they reply to you. I have posted my original review below. Absolutely astounding to me that Sandstone replied to this review defending their actions when I complained about them not notifying me at any point about their application process. There was never any communication about this. I have rented from several property management companies in the past and they have all communicated well in terms of their application process, and none conducted business this way in which applicants had to race each other to get a deposit in. Obviously there is always competition when renting or buying a property, however most companies do not accept multiple applications without at least informing the applicants that this is how they conduct their process. I also complained about calling their offices and leaving a message and not having anyone ever return my call. Sandstone, instead of responding to people's reviews negatively, maybe you should apologize and try to do better. From the abundant amount of negative reviews you guys have on here, clearly you don't take criticism well and work to make improvements and grow as a company. I've also seen plenty of other negative responses to other peoples reviews. Extremely unprofessional. ***Original review: Unbelievably bad experience with this company. I put an application in for a property that I wanted to rent, and within two days I received a message saying "congratulations, your application has been accepted", and then it followed up with asking me to submit my security deposit and instructed me to call their office for more info on how to do this. I called their office and informed them of the message I received, and I was told that Connie would call me back shortly. Several hours went by and no one ever called me back. I then received another message saying the property was no longer available. Extremely confused, I called their office back and spoke with Connie. She said "Oh, you never actually had the property, we accepted multiple applications and it was whoever could get their security deposit in the fastest." You can imagine my utter disbelief, because this is not how typical property management companies conduct business with rental applications. In addition, I was NEVER told beforehand that they would be accepting multiple applications and that it would be a race for whoever could get the deposit in fastest. What property management company conducts business this way?!? Connie was not apologetic in any way, and acted as if I was crazy for questioning their process. They clearly don't care who their tenants are, and accept anyone who applies apparently. PLEASE think twice before getting involved with this company, as either a renter or property owner. They seem extremely shady, sloppy, and unorganized. I am extremely dissatisfied.
