    The dealership kept my car for over 3 months, never reached out to offer any form of loaner car nor with any type of update until they called me to tell me they used the car warranty company that I pay for to confirm they didn't break my vehicle. When I dropped my truck off, it worked and went/functioned into all gears, including reverse. The dealership took the truck apart, performed the approved repairs and when they put my truck back together, the truck didn't go into reverse. After 3 months and no updates, they called me to tell me that I'd have to pay double the approved and agreed upon amount of the cost of the original repair because they used my warranty company, the people I pay my hard earned money to work on my behalf, to certify that they dealership didn't damage the vehicle. Interesting, given the truck worked when I dropped it off but didn't after they initially "repaired it". They told me because my warranty company confirmed even though the car worked before the dealership took it apart and didn't once the dealership reassembled it, the best they could do for me after holding on to it for 3 months before they figured out what was wrong AND using the warranty company I pay to indemnify themself against their mistake AND holding my vehicle for months without even offering a loaner or any type of renumeration for me NOT having my car called me to tell me they did me a favor by discounting the additional repair and it would cost me double to get my truck back. Needless to say, although Sanford, NC is a very small town and Wilkinson GMC is the only GMC dealer available, I will NOT take my truck back there for any repair (I'll drive to Fayetteville or Raleigh first) and I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them again. Yes, I actually bought the truck, in cash, from them and always took my vehicle there for service. So much for GMC's so-called customer service values. I guess being the only game in town has its privileges.......

I am sorry to hear that you did not have a great experience with us. After reviewing your paperwork it appears that the original work was completed 3 days after bringing vehicle in and we found that there was additional work needed. We contacted the warranty company to get authorization for additional work. It appears that they sent an inspector out to verify the part needed and cause of failure. We got approval two weeks later from the warranty company to perform the repairs and we attempted to contact you for final authorization. We spoke with you and also your husband about what we found and the needed repairs. It took us almost a month of the vehicle staying here before we received authorization from you on 02/06/2023. The repairs were then completed on 02/13/2024 and multiple phone calls were made to let you know that the vehicle was completed. It then took an additional month before you called us back about the vehicle. Now, you mention no loaner offered, but we had given you a loaner on 12/8/2023 and you had us pick it up from your house because you were out of town and did not require it any longer. That was also the reason we were given as to why it was so hard to reach you, that you were out of town. We did certainly did everything we could to try and help you through this unfortunate situation.
