Rodeway Inn & Suites Greensboro Southeast

Ive been to and seen worse places, so Im giving 2 stars just for the fact that I was able to sleep there comfortably. I used to work in housekeeping in a shoddy motel years ago so I knew what I wanted to check first. The sheets and pillow cases were clean; thats where the good times end. I checked the bathroom next, there was hair all over the toilet seats and all in the shower. There was a cockroach on the floor, I called him Ralph just to make myself feel better for the night as I did not get in until 3am after a 10hr drive from NY to NC. The plug for the hairdryer was also split in half. Floor did NOT get cleaned. There was hair, debris, dirt all over. Two of the four lights in the room worked. Picture frame on the wall was coming apart and threatening to fall. Dust on the headboards, tv, lamps. Mirrors were cloudy and dirty. Office chair at the table appears as though it fought a dog and lost. I didnt tell any staff that were working there - partly because it took 10-15 minutes just to find one to check in. The woman behind the desk kept disappearing every time I came back. She also did not have any decorum about her, I know its 3am but I also know what your job is as Night Audit at the front desk. All in all. I was able to sleep, the bed wasnt bad and sheets were clean. Im curious about their A sanitization rating I could see hanging behind the front desk, the inspection certainly didnt take place in the A wing with the repairs that room needed. Cheap place to lay your head. Look somewhere else if you are looking for anything more than that.
