We closed on a new house today and needed some funds wired over- we went to 2 different branches and struggled to find time to get in but we called the Guilford College branch and Juan was able to get us in right away! Due to covid we had to do everything through the drive thru but Juan made it super easy and was a lot of help! Thank you Juan, you are awesome!

I have been a customer with this company since it was CCB bank and merged with Suntrust. I never had an issue until recently. I have TWICE in the last 30 days had my card declined. Never a call from Suntrust, no communication. So when I call in to find out WTH, I’m told there was suspicious activity on my card. Today it was a $16.xx purchase at the local pizza place that I made yesterday. Mind you, Suntrust verified over $1600.xx in my account, but were suspicious of a $16 purchase. According to the representative, the criteria for putting my card on hold is an exorbitant amount or an unfamiliar location (i.e. out of state), neither of which were true. The 1st experience was similar in nature.
So for the 2nd time in 30 days I have the embarrassment of a declined card for a nominal transaction due to a suspension for suspicious activity with no notification or heads up. Is this due to the merger with BB&T or just a callousness I have to live with to bank with this company.
You know who DOESN’T embarrass me when I use their card...Truliant FCU. They have gradually earned my business over the past 6-7 years (earning my mortgage, auto loan and separate checking & savings accounts). Maybe it’s time to completely put all of my assets with them and divest from Suntrust all together?
