Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Carolina Beach

One of the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed at. Christy was so accommodating and friendly. She made our stay very pleasant. Nice pool area and close to everything. Alexis, the morning manager, was so great. We will absolutely stay here again. Affordable and convenient. While short staffed ( like everywhere) you would not know it by the friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

the name has changed to the windstar hotel in case you get confused, and the only negative comment is that they’re breakfast was in a bag and had a muffin and trail mix. other than that, the hotel was very clean, the beds were super comfortable, the pool was warm and clean, although it couldve been colder, that’s just personal preference. the hotel clerk that checked us in was the sweetest person ever. She was sooo delightful and was very helpful. definitely the best employee there.

Employees were friendly and personable. Gave me a personal list for restaurants open on Christmas Day. Suite was really nice and roomy. Would definitely stay there again

AWFUL! Do NOT stay at this place!! Checked in at 10p after a long drive. Planned to stay for 4 nights. Within 2 hours my husband and I killed 4 cockroaches. Went down to leave, totally sick, and the woman behind the desk “did not have the authority to refund our credit card”. Manager was supposed to get back to us and has yet to answer or return any of our calls. Two days now still trying to get our money back.

Stayed 7/29/2021 to 8/1/21 for our annual "Carolina Beach trip". The pic of the hotel is not updated so we passed it about two times. Once inside we were greeted by a tall man wearing a beach hat. He was pleasant and friendly. Check in was easy. Once to room, it was small but who goes to CB for the room?. The sheets weren't the cleanest, we notified him and promptly they were changed. This man at the front gave us the "run down" of all the events happening on that day, including fireworks. The day was fabulous! Every morning he gave us multiple options and events of the day. We looked for him every morning. The beach is approx 5-7 mins walking distance down the road. No sidewalk for a bit of the walk but we managed. It was just the two ( adults) of us. I can not recall his name and I am ashamed to admit. But he shared that he is at the hotel from Thursday to Sunday and travels home every week. The hotel was short staffed but you could not tell because of his diligence in ensuring we were always good. HE would be the reason we return to this hotel. The rooms definitely need to be updated. The sofa bed and the window bench should be deep cleaned more often or simply taken out! We refused to sit on it with out a sheet on it. It is fabric so it holds bacteria ( I am a nurse) and odors. No hot breakfast which would be a plus. The pool was a nice attraction in the am, feet in pool sipping the fresh coffee made early. Thank you sir in the beach hat, who made out stay....worth every penny!!
