The Iron Skillet

Thanks to Brandon this wonderful little place has only one waitress and one cook. We tried to wait but had to get on the Great Smokey Mountain Train. Just didn't have enough time.

It was nothing g special. Food was not hotbut barely warm. Biscuits and gravey were not warm but felt like an attempt to re heat food. Staff was friendly enough. Food served on paper plates and plastic silverware. You can only pay I. Cash Andrey do tell you and no signs posted until you are ready to pay. But good news they have an ATM with a 3.50 charge to pull out cash to pay your bill. Also be aware they only take e Zack change....

This is a nice place to stop in for some great food. Be aware that they are short staffed and lots of folks like this place. If you are impatient or rude perhaps you should look elsewhere. The staff is far too kind to deal with stuff like that. If you can wait then you will have some of the best tasting southern food you can find here at this gem of a diner. I had the meat lovers omelette with home fries and toast. Their sweet tea is on point. I cleaned my plate.
