Dr. Gurniak is the only reason I go to STAT. Some of the staff including other doctors, staff, etc., are NOT the best. The office manager is NOT professional at all. She is nasty, rude, etc. I think she has control issues. I met this office manager for the FIRST time last spring. She told me I could NOT see Dr. Gurniak unless I paid $150.00. Good thing I was patient with her but with all seriousness wanted to yell at her like she did to me in front of all people in the waiting room. I was totally taken back due to the way she spoke to me. NO class whatsoever. My appointments are to be paid by NCA comp. Apparently, NCA comp was NOT being billed. I had NO clue. That's NOT on me.
I've been going to STAT Medical for over 20 years with NO problems seeing Dr. Gurniak. I started going to STAT due to Dr. Gina who was my doc since the 80s/90s elsewhere (NOT at STAT). Wait times to see her were too long so I switched to Dr. Gurniak. I see Dr. Gurniak maybe once-twice/year to have lab slips & meds ordered. During COVID I was able to get these orders via the phone.
**After reading the reviews I have to add that Dr. Henry Okere SUX. Ken SUX. Some of the front desk people are extremely rude. Wait times can be long but NOT too bad.
I often wonder WTH Dr. Gurniak is doing here...?? He is much better than the trash who work here.

Ive been going here for years, the doctors are very good and extremely knowledgeable. However the ladies at the front desk seriously need customer service etiquette, more specifically Alice. She can be extremely rude and snobby and gives off this attitude like youre bothering her and shes doing you a HUGE favor. Its LITERALLY her job to help and I shouldnt feel like I am burden especially when Im not feeling well. Please retrain or rehire your front desk staff to have more empathy and compassion.

I have been going to this place for about 20 yrs ,i was probably one of the first pt there.for the past few years everyone from the front dest has been so rude..since I have been a pt for quite some time I tried to give them benefit of the doubt..
Michelle is the rudest person I even talked to..no customer skills what so ever,that office needs yo do better by screening before they hire anyone from the street because they will lose lots of patients

I feel bad for the people who had negative feelings about this place because that was never my experience anytime i went. I was an hour late for an appointment i called to inform them and they were very accommodating. The ladies up front are polite and helpful. Dr. Kenneth Okere is quite proficient at what he does.
