Tutor Time of Smithtown

My daughter enjoyed her time at Tutor Time in Smithtown, the staff is incredibly caring and knowledgeable. Every employee knew my daughters name and we were always greeted with a smiling face. Transitioning away from the pacifier and potty training was a breeze mainly due to the help of the staff. The center is conveniently located right off 347 and the parking lot is dedicated to just Tutor Time - making drop offs and pick ups quick and easy.

BUYER BEWARE! This location is a full fledged franchise and not run by corporate so when you encounter a problem, don’t look for anyone to be your advocate. This owner makes you sign his contract to enroll and pay 2 additional full weeks of tuition to be used as a “security deposit,” meaning either the parent or the daycare needs to provide 2 weeks notice upon termination. Of course after several attempts, he NEVER returned mine after up and closing with 2 days notice leaving parents scrambling to find daycare. Uses the coronavirus as a ploy, meanwhile all other daycares in the immediate area were open to essential workers and first responders. In the last three months my daughter was enrolled, I witnessed student as after student leaving as well as multiple teachers. The writing was on the wall and due to little or no enrollment this place had to close, NOT the coronavirus as he states on his website. He has absolutely no right to falsify and break the terms of his contract and keep 2 weeks tuition from anyone. If anyone else has encountered this issue please DM me. There are so many suitable and professional places to bring your little ones, steer clear of this one.

Victor Dairo(the owner) ****i will find out what you do in that daycare all day... - Absolutely worst place to ever take a child, between the smell and unsanitary environment to the unprofessional and quiet rude staff all the way to the owner of it all. This daycare doesn’t deserve to be open anymore and I hope the State (OCFS) finds all the carelessness, health violations and much more that’s wrong with this daycare. I have been working with children almost all my life and never encountered a school so careless and horrifying such as this one.. I had my daughter in this school for almost a month and wish I hadn’t chose it. Waste of time, generous communication and hard earned money. Don’t recommend this place to any of my worst enemies. NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE DENYING ME VIDEO OF SPECIFIC DATES (two days) of where my child was harmed and also came home without underwear!!!! I will find out what goes on in this daycare when NO PARENTS ARE AROUND!!!!

This experience was horrible, I brung my niece here for a month and she always came home crying and never had her cup. The directors were very rude all the time and I wish I hadn’t wasted my time if I knew how unprofessional they were.. ms Ashley and Ms. Jen need to go back to courses on how to treat people and Victor the owner really shouldn’t be in the same school as little kids.. it’s a really gross unsafe environment and unsanitary!!!! My child was pulled in a week!!!
