From uncomfortable chairs, poor service, over priced appetizer (the rock shrimp tempura to be exact), and boring, dull ramen, this place is a ramen tapas wannabe restaurant. Go here if you have nowhere else and all you need is a quick "ramen" fix, but if you can walk a few more blocks, I suggest you do. To somewhere authentic.

My daughter and I both rate the food here as the best we have ever eaten. the flavours are subtle and exquisite right down to the green tea. The service is genuinely friendly we were offered a dessert on the house of a home made creme brulee which was outstanding. words can't express the chef's ability to make such flavoursome food but the prices are so reasonable that you could try it and not be out of pocket. Believe me you wont be disappointed.

Ochado recently opened to a soft launch where they tested mostly a full menu -- this is my take. Ochado occupies the location formerly held down by Spur Tree. Ochado bucks the old layout for a counter service up front and seats in the back. Obviously the focus here is ramen and tapas, and though the place may not seem "traditional" it really does do the sacred dish of ramen justice. The Shoyu ramen is delicious with a flavor championed by the unique and powerful flavor of the bamboo shoots that they use. They are really flavorful with a sweetness that I've never tasted before. The servings of chashu are a bit skimpy but it's honestly hit or miss. Some days it's fine, some days it's lacking. I guess they are still working out the portioning. The tapas menu dwarfs the ramen menu (ok doesn't dwarf but is slightly larger) . With delicious offerings such as black cod, kobe beef meatball buns, pork spare ribs, etc. you'll find something if not all your items from there. You can totally just order all tapas and share them and have MORE than enough :) Cocktails are standard fair with a few signatures to try to make the place stand out, but from my experience they were not strong so maybe just stick to water. In all worth the price of admission!
