As a resident of the Northern NJ waterfront facing Manhattan, I respectfully ask anyone booking a helicopter tour to consider the effects they have on the tens of thousands of people who live on the NY/NJ waterfront. Due to the increasing number of 15 min flights, we have been assaulted by low-flying helicopters, sometimes two per minute for the entirety of the day, at noise levels so loud that children cannot be put down for naps, people must wear noise cancelling headphones around their homes, and people cannot take phone calls or enjoy their balconies. In addition to the environmental impact of all of these unnecessary flights, the constant noise is detrimental to residents' mental health. Please have empathy for people who live here and choose to sightsee from one of the many observation decks around the city instead of by helicopter.
