I took my 2012 Lexus LS460 to the service department to have a coolant leak diagnosed. I was told it would cost a $159 to diagnose it, but when I arrived from my appointment told me it would B $300 the pressure tested . I really expected them to diagnose the problem.So I didn't know what exactly wrong but I got a big run around and I wound up leaving going back to my mechanic. The guy there Dave, I believe said It was probably the head gasket
And that is a common problem except A. I really felt that I should have been more on top of it at least diagnosed and come up with a bill and tell me how much it would cost to fix my car.But they didn't and really wasted my time I feel like they want to fix easy things and then if you come for them They probably also want to sell you a car and are really interested in doing any heavy repairs which they should be able to do. No problem, and a head gasket. Is not that big a job anyway? So I really felt like the service department is substandard over there and I wouldn't recommend anybody bring there at. Toyota, let alone Lexus to them which they shouldn't have to repair because Lexus is toyot.Although this guy at the service department didn't seem to understand that So, needless to say, it was a waste of my time and energy going over there.And having my hopes raised to find out that they just weren't interested in diagnosing or even attempting to repair my car, which is a $100000 Lexus.L.S four six Also, when I spoke to the guy, he tried to tell me that replacing the motor request $10000 even for a used one, and that's totally untrue and I looked online.And I sell them for $2000 and under.So yeah, you're right, so obviously does not know what he's talking about.These people try to act like they're real smart and they know more than you will.In reality they do not are just lazyty it should be happy to work on it
