Takara Japanese Restaurant

Just placed an order- They DO NOT have an option to choose soup when choosing a lunch special- I have ordered before and they always send MISO soup without need of specification- i called to ask for the soup- and they said since it was free they do not have to come and deliver it- i asked for a refund and denied me that or bringing my soup instead of admitting their error the "person" who was speaking to me had the nerve to to blame me for ordering at 3:29 when lunch special ended at 3:30 said when they printed it was past the time- she told me to call back in 2 days- WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN- who messes up and has the nerve to blame the customer- THE WORST

I was given a groupon for the chefs choice menu as a gift and took a friend. The food was incredible and the staff went to great lengths to make sure we enjoyed our meal, even going so far as to custom make a certain dish due to a food allergy. For 50 bucks my friend and I ate like kings. Highly recommended

I've tried a couple of sushi places in proximity to my job and this is the worst by far. I've tried it a couple of times but the sushi is just not great quality. I gave it a couple of tries but every time I'm disappointed. I actually find the quality of the stop n shop sushi better than the sushi I get from Takara's but that's just my opinion. :)

A LOT of excellent reviews for a place I find to be only mediocre at BEST. ordered three rolls an entree and an appetizer. All were a bit on the small side for the price.The sushi had an "I've been frozen and thawed too many times" texture, and flavor. the creativity of the rolls was great, but the flavor was all but non existent for what I feel is a lack of ingredient quality. They were very poorly constructed. The presentation of the rolls was also very poor, it was insulting. Sushi is an art form. Something even the shittiest of establishments take seriously. my plate looked like it was garnished by a blind folded 5 year old with mittens on that was spinning around on a chair for 20 minutes. As for the second entree (chicken teriyaki) it was done, but under cooked. the sauce was watery and flavorless. very disappointing considering all these "excellent" reviews . you people need to have your heads examined.
