Every single time I've taken my car there, I end up spending a fortune, and an entire day.
First brake job cost over $1100, and there was squeaking noises afterwards they never could fix. Just recently, I had a work done on just the rear brakes, and the estimate kept climbing as they would find new "problems". I didn't have the $400+ it would take to do the repairs after the "free inspection", but was told they aren't allowed by law to put my car back together. I was basically stuck, at their mercy. I had no choice but to apply for their credit card to get the repairs done. The credit limit came back as $800. Then guess what? After another half hour, and thinking it was near completion, I was called to the desk and told the new "bad news". Now there was more "wrong" which needed righting. Guess what the final bill was? That's right, $800 exactly! Double the original estimate. I'm definitely done with Monro.
