The person who “assisted” me here was so rude and there was so much unnecessary hostility in his tone. Also the place is very dirty I would definitely not trust them with my shoe repair.

Worst business I've ever encountered, specifically because of the owner (Jimmy). The following story is completely true and I write it for the benefit of anyone considering doing business with this store. I brought a pair of Diesel leather pants to have a small hole in the leg repaired. I was a bit worried because this is an expensive pair of pants, but I needed the repair done. He charged me $30 to fix a small hole. When I mentioned I thought that was excessive, he said he had over 60 years in the business and leather is difficult to fix. I said okay. He then wanted payment up front (cash only, of course), which never feels right, but I did that too. When I went to pick them up, he couldn't locate the pants. He then asked me to come back later so he could look for them. I told him I would wait. He then searched the entire store for over 30 minutes, but couldn't find them. The whole time he kept looking over at me saying "don't worry. I am responsible." Though I understood he meant, he would pay for the pants if they were lost, it didn't exactly make me feel more comfortable. After 45 minutes, he still couldn't find the pants. He then asked me how much they cost. I told him they were $750. Again, he said "don't worry. I am responsible." He then asked me to come back the next morning so he could search further. I agreed to this, but I decided to call before I went in. He immediately started to negotiate with me. He offered me $250. I said that $500 was the minimum I could take that would actually get me another pair of pants in a similar style and quality. He them tried to negotiate further by saying the pants were "used!" I mean, wow! Yes, they were used by me before Jimmy lost them and then tried to bargain with me for the pants he lost. If it weren't so tragic, it would be hilarious. I then threatened to take him to court. That's when he started talking rationally again. After a long conversation and, frankly, just not wanting this person or situation ion my life any longer, I agreed to settle for $300 and the $30 I paid him for the job. He then asked me to come in on Saturday morning (Dec 22, 2018) to get the money. When I arrived there, he had a big surprise for me - my pants! He said that a woman came in right before I got there to return the pants she was given when she picked up her shoes and she realized she was given someone else's clothing. That's some coincidence, huh? Except it's not. What Jimmy didn't realize was that I was outside of his shop for about 20 minutes before I went in (getting a parking receipt and talking on the phone with my mom) and I not one person went in there before me. Not one. Yet the pants mysteriously appeared by some woman who I never saw who came in "right before me?" Nope. What actually happened was he stole my pants and when he realized he'd have to actually pay for them, they miraculously reappeared. After he then refused to refund me for the repair (after taking many hours for me to deal with this), I was sure to let him know that I knew he was lying to me and I would tell everyone I knew. So here is that first effort. If you still patronize this business, don't say I didn't warn you.
