It's a very convenient and proper place to get your license! The boss lady is very nice and understanding, and the coaches 100% know their stuff! Aside from driving related stuff, it's probably one of the best business experience I've had. Took me only 4 sessions to pass the road test(ofc it varies person from person depending on personality and practice/experience). You know you'll be in good hands here. Good luck to you!

yeah i passed! Coach Guo, is very observant he knows exactly where im looking at while driving, and pointed out all my mistakes, and show me how to correct them. he is very attentive and explain to me in details. highly recommended.

After a horrific experience with a terrible instructor (NOT from this school), which led me to fail my first road test because of my utter inability to parallel park, I knew I had to change instructors, and fast. My old instructor never let me drive without him grabbing the steering wheel 90% of the time, he'd always brake me suddenly whenever I did anything he deemed incorrect, he'd be on his phone while teaching me, and worst of all, he'd use up my precious learning time to have me stop for his lunch shopping, cigarette breaks, and potty breaks. As a result, even after 20 lessons with him, I felt like I didn't even know what I was doing, because he taught me nothing. I searched around online and found two schools that looked promising, and I eventually decided on Yu's Driving School, because the price was more agreeable to me and I liked what I saw in the reviews left by others. Ms. Mai was super nice and friendly over the phone. She was very sympathetic to my situation and completely understood why I wanted to changed instructors so abruptly, and told me that my instructor from her school, which she will assign to me, would definitely help with my parking woes. Something important to note is that this school doesn't do pick up and drop off, and you will have to meet your instructor at the school each lesson. There are three instructors at the time of this writing. The school looks closed most of the time, but its location serves as a fixed meet-up point for the students and instructors. You can usually drive yourself back to whatever location you need to go at the end of your lesson, though. Also, it helps if you can at least understand Chinese, because the instructors here don't speak much English. Of course, if you can speak Chinese too, that would work wonders for communication, obviously. If you can only understand English, you'd probably be better off with an English-speaking driving school, but the prices will most definitely be higher (I checked). And so, a week after my call with Ms. Mai, I met Master Guo. I want to sing praises about him, but I'll try to keep it short. He was a breath of fresh air compared to my old instructor, it was like night and day. He was so patient and professional, and he immediately spotted my mistakes within the first five minutes of my very first lesson. He told me I had picked up a lot of bad habits from my old instructor, and he had me relearn everything in my first lesson with him, like how to turn the steering wheel his way. It made my life so much easier! I used to panic whenever I had to turn the wheel, because my old instructor liked the hand-over-hand method, but Master Guo's method was more intuitive and I felt like I truly controlled the car, and not the other way around. Master Guo never touched my steering wheel, and he never braked me, and best of all, he stayed focused on me the entire time. I felt more and more of my confidence growing with each lesson, something I never had before when it comes to driving. And not only did Master Guo teach me things to pass the road test, he answered any questions I had about driving in general, and he'd let me do other things I wanted to try, like adding gas to a car, parking on the left side of a one-way road, parking in parking lots, etc. I learned so much from him, I'm really, really grateful. Unfortunately, I didn't pass my second road test after 10 lessons with Master Guo, because of downright rotten luck with a stop sign. However, today, on my third attempt, and 10 more lessons later (second attempt with this driving school), I passed! I'm ecstatic! Thank you Yu's Driving School! Thank you Ms. Mai! Highly recommend this driving school! I registered the lessons for my daughter who is under age 18. Ms. Mai is very kind and informative. Mr. Kang always patient with my daughter and explained everything in great detail. My daughter passed her test at her first try!! Thank you! Overall, we had a great experience with this driving school!
