I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN NOR WANT ANYONE ELSE TOO! My six-month-pregnant-friend and I rolled into Gallup last week at 1am with our small children. We just needed a place to stay for a few hours, but we should have paid $20 extra bucks to stay somewhere else that was not such of a nightmare. AVOID this place for the following reasons!!
1. UNSAFE: Holes were punched in the back of my room's door, but I still had a chain. However, my friend's chain had been busted off. Our windows barely locked. Three times during the night, other people tried to get into her room. There were no phones in the rooms, so if someone had come in, there would have been no way to call the front desk for help. Well, wait, the staff said that there was no one on duty from 1-9am anyway since they sleep. We would have had to call 911 on our cell phones to get help. In my room, there were exposed electrical wires in the bathroom outlet. Hanging from the ceiling was a wire that used to have a light on. Thank God my kids did not touch it. Also, the smoke detector was covered with plastic and would not have been much help if there had been a fire.
2. LOUD: Not only was the hotel right by the train that ran like every 15 minutes at night, but my friend's room was right next door to a party room where people came in and out all night long, yelling cuss words at each other.
3. UNCLEANLINESS: As we entered our room, the carpets didn't look like they had been vacuumed for a long time. The bathroom was even worse. There were Q-tips on the floor and grime and dirt and who knows what else germs around the toilet. The toilet seat looked like it had been painted over 10 years ago and that paint was starting to peel. My girl thought that poop was spattered all over it. My friend didn't even take her shoes off to walk on the carpet and didn't shower in the morning because of the state of the bathtub. The lights in the room had like five years of dust on them.
4. OVERALL DUMP: From the street, the mask of darkness covered the overall dump of this place. However, we quickly saw the uncleanliness of the office, the trashed stairway and parking lot, and dangerous state of the staircase (OSHA could shut them down because of it).
5. NO REFUNDS: A handwritten sign in the office said "no refunds," so even when we asked if we could get a refund after this hellish experience, we did not. I even read on other websites that people who had just paid for the room and then saw how bad the rooms were could not get a refund.

On my move from Colorado to Arizona. I got tired driving on the road. So I was told this nightmare was cheaper. So when I went and paid. My oldest and I went in with the dog to the room. As soon as we went in while the husband and other daughter was at the car the dog ran out the room and jump right back in the car and hold on for dear life. If a dog ran out the room in this motel that is something. The next morning people threw the keys back in the office window and speed off quick
