The owner is disrespectful and starts yelling. When you ask him how much a repair is going to be. And when you ask him to talk to you calmly and not yell. He instead Talks calmly for all 2 minutes and then starts yelling. Like i'm sorry but that's not how you conduct business The man is clearly bipolar And has no respect for women

Before conducting business with this person. Check previous reviews and how your spoken too. The owner is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Simple business related questions were not answered instead unprovoked attitude towards a potential customer Wont be surprised when this guy goes out of business Wish I could give him negative stars Guaranteed this coward wouldnt talk wreck-less if I was to show up and speak face to face. If interested, Pennington Sewing & Vacuum provides free estimates and are very professional. No affiliation to them.

I took my sewing machine in because of an issue with the 'race cover' which closes over the bobbin. I wasn't sure what was wrong, but I knew there was something. I suggested maybe a weld came undone. I was told up front that there is a $30.00 fee to have my machine looked at. I was asked to place it on the floor and fill out a slip. The next day I was told it was ready. I went to pick it up and asked what he had to fix. He said it was out of adjustment and indicated on the handwheel as he turned it. I said what about the bobbin thing, and opened the hinged front cover and released the hook. As it opened, the race cover followed, then rotated sideways. I indicated that this was the reason I brought the machine in. To have it fixed so that both sides are attached. I was told that I was mistaken and that there was nothing wrong with it. He suggested that I was just unfamiliar or out of practice. Realizing that he was not going to be wrong, I just agreed. I'm sure that I would have had better luck if I was needing vacuum repair, but that door closed when I was told I was unfamiliar with a sewing machine that I have used daily for the better part of 20 years. Honesty is always the best policy. If you're not familiar with something, and you don't know how to fix it, don't just assume the customer is naive. I have since ordered the parts online and will be fixing it myself.

Joe, the owner, is very nice. And he REALLY knows his stuff. I took my Dyson vacuum into him that was literally in pieces. He informed me that he could fix it if I would like him to. I was actually surprised - I was ready to get laughed at, dragging in all those pieces! After a quick once-over he diagnosed it & immediately looked up the part for me and told me how much it was. It was way more than it was worth. I'm sure he could see the disappointment on my face and he offered me $5 for the parts. Probably so I wouldn't have to struggle carrying those awkward pieces again. His gesture DID make it better. And it was very sweet of him. He didn't have to do that. Hell, he probably threw it in the dumpster out back before I even got off the block. And Joe knows computers, too, so I will definitely be back to see him soon.
